Escape Room Puzzle Systems Architect.
I believe small escape rooms deserve big ideas.
My mission is to help independent creators elevate their games through smart, scalable design, so they can compete, grow, and inspire more people to fall in love with escape rooms.
I specialize in designing fluid escape room experiences that put players at the center of a balanced, scalable, and immersive puzzle system. Whether you're launching a new game or refining an existing one, I’ll help you build smarter, more efficient puzzle flow.
How I work.
Escape room design IS game design. It’s a process that involves player psychology, pacing, puzzle balance, and thematic cohesion.
I use a systems-based approach to design puzzle flows that are scalable, immersive, and engineered for player satisfaction. Here is a breakdown of how I approach every room I work on.
-
I believe puzzles should feel like they belong in the world rather than bolted onto it. I start by listing environmental objects and props that naturally fit the setting then explore how they could serve as puzzle inputs or outputs. Anything left becomes set dressing that supports immersion and effects.
-
From the set components we work with a top-down puzzle map: inputs, outputs, and path structure. I build a flowchart that tracks how information moves through the game balanced by puzzle type (logic, observation, physical) and scaled for difficulty.
-
Each puzzle is designed with multiple difficulty tiers—so you can tune the experience without swapping out the core logic. I aim to give every player at least one moment to shine, regardless of skill. The flow is structured to build momentum early, introduce collaboration in the mid-game, and finish with a satisfying “we beat it together” finale. Every player is a protagonist in their own story.
-
Room designs include a “Puzzle Bible”—a fully written guide with puzzle logic, setup/reset instructions, component breakdowns, and maintenance notes. Your GameMasters get clean, easy-to-follow docs. Your tech team gets diagrams and naming conventions. You get peace of mind.
